Education

Secondary Title

The Mission Mwanza team currently serves as faculty in 5 schools around Sukumaland in the areas of Sumve, Kijima, Ng'waniko, Mbalika, and Magu.

They also advise and consult with the founding Boards about the running and oversight of these schools, as well as helping new schools get up and running. The team also helps form new schools and trains local teachers to help the schools become self-sustaining.

Christian Mentoring

Secondary Title

The mission team mentors Christian Leaders in various aspects of ministry, such as church planting, congregational maturation, leadership training, and mentoring itself.

As the team phases itself out of a particular congregation, the expectation is that the team is still engaged with the church plant through the training that they have poured into that site's permanent leadership team.

Women's Ministry

Secondary Title

The mission team works alongside Sukuma women in teaching, encouraging, and trying to affect deep rooted change within the family structure in Sukumaland.

Emily and Marisa Bailey have worked among many different women's groups through the years, and in this past year have been working in the village of Ng'wakasumbi.

The women are eager for teaching and are full of questions which makes for lively discussions on all kinds of topics. Some of the recent topics of study are the book of Luke, sewing, health, and baking using traditional materials. The long term vision for women's ministry is to continue in their mentoring of Sukuma women to take their giftedness in sharing the love of Jesus to women in villages close to them.
