Giving in the Bible
At the end of Paul's letter to the church in Philippi, he thanked the church for the gifts and support that they had provided. In response to their giving, Paul said "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:19
Paul didn't say that God will make people incredibly rich when they decide to support the work of Jesus Christ financially, but he did say that God would meet their needs. The way God meets our needs will probably play out differently in each of our lives, as is often the case with how God works.
